Austin, TX
     Originally named "Waterloo" in 1837 the city, later renamed Austin Texas in 1839 has grown into the 16th largest city in the United States. As of the 2005 census estimate Austin Texas is the home of over 690,252 residents. It is the capital city of the state of Texas and the county seat of Travis county. The first permanent settlement of the area dates back to 1835 before which time it was the home of a number of nomadic native tribes including but not limited to the Tonkawa, Comanches and the Lipan Apaches.
     Austin is centrally located in the State of Texas along the Colorado River overlooked by Mount Bonnell, a natural limestone formation. The area is also the location of many bodies of water including Lake Austin, thus providing many opportunities for oudoor recreation and enjoyment including golf, boating, fishing and camping.
     The city of Austin is world renowned for its live music scene, and is purported to have more live music venues per capita than any other city in the world. A fact which has earned the city the slogan "Live Music Capital of the World". The slogan is well deserved as Austin is the home of many live music festivals including the world renowned "Austin City Limits Festival". Many fine restaurants and nightclubs dot the area making Austin a favorite destination for those who wish to enjoy it vibrant nightlife. The residents of Austin are proud of the unique and eccentric qualities of the city and the motto "Keep Austin Weird" has become a popular slogan on bumperstickers and T-shirts.
     Due to the many fine opportunities for employment, sports,rec reation and entertainment the Austin Texas Real Estate market is a thriving industry offering many opportunities for investment to those persons wishing to relocate to the area.
